On 25 May 2018, the new data protection regulation (GDPR) comes into force, which replaces the Swedish Personal Data Act (PUL) and applies as law in all EU countries. The law has been created with the aim of improving protection when processing personal data.
At Elvelyckan Design, we value our customers' personal privacy. In our privacy policy, we explain how we collect your personal data, how and why we process it and on what legal basis. We also address how long your personal data remains and highlight your rights.

What is personal data?
Personal data is information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a living natural person. Examples of such information are social security number, name, address, IP address, picture, etc.
What is processing of personal data?
Processing of personal data means that an action is carried out, for example by registering, storing, processing and deleting the personal data.
How do we collect your personal data?
Elvelyckan Design collects personal data when you as a customer place an order and register for newsletters (the customer actively agrees to newsletters) at www.elvelyckandesign.com.
How do we process your personal data?
Processing of personal data takes place with the aim of handling an order. To handle an order, the personal data is used for payment, delivery (also through tracking and notification of packages) and handling of possible complaints and returns. If the customer has actively agreed to receive newsletters in connection with the purchase, personal data in the form of an email address is used for marketing from Elvelyckan Design.
Why do we process your personal data and on what legal basis?
In connection with an order, Elvelyckan Design requests personal data in order to fulfill its obligations under the purchase agreement. If the information is not provided, Elvelyckan Design cannot fulfill its commitment and then has to refuse the purchase.
How long do we store your personal data?
Your personal data is saved for 7 years after the purchase has been completed with the legal basis that it is accounting data and must be saved for at least 7 years according to the Accounting Act.

You have the right to have your personal data deleted.
Exceptions for deletion of personal data apply to ongoing customer service matters, ongoing or completed orders in the last 7 years in order for Elvelyckan Design to be able to fulfill its commitment to the purchase.
